Step 1 – God loves you and has a plan for you!
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ is the Son of God!
Jesus said, ...“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10) a complete life full of purpose.
But here’s the problem:
Step 2 – Man is sinful and separated from God
In the beginning Adam and Eve chose to disobey God by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. From that moment fellowship was broken. There had to be a blood sacrifice for their disobedience. God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. Friend, sin will never go unpunished (read Genesis 3).
Romans 3:10 says, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: --- the root word for righteous is right. This means that no one is right!
We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls “sin.” The Bible says, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans3:23).
Romans 6:23 declares, For the wages of sin is death; --- Look at what the Bible says about sin:
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
The first death is when our physical bodies die and we are separated from our loved ones. The second death, as mentioned in this verse, is when we are separated from God for eternity.
There is good news, so look back at Romans 6:23...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
Step 3 – God sent His Son to die for your sins!
Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever. Jesus was our blood sacrifice!
- Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us.
But it did not end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!
- 1 Corinthians 15:3-4...Christ died for our sins according to the scripture; and that He was
buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures: - Romans 10:9-139 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 10For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.13“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Notice these words: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!
- John 14:6 Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no
one comes to the Father, but through Me"
Step 4 – Would you like to receive God’s forgiveness?
Salvation is as easy as A, B, C; Accept, Believe and Confess your sins to an almighty God!
- John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
- Ephesians 2: 8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
We cannot earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe you are a sinner, believe that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then, turn from your sins (that is called repentance).
Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, and
your honesty.
Sinner's Prayer
This is a prayer you can pray to accept Christ as your Saviour:
“Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I know if I died right now I would go to Hell. I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I will trust and follow you as my Lord and
Saviour. Guide my life, and help me to do your will. I ask you, Jesus, to come into my heart this
day to be Lord and Master in my life
In Jesus name,
Amen”!
- Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of
redemption.
